Sweet Grass, Hair of Mother Earth, is known as one of the most sacred herbs across indigenous North America, as well as a lesser known sacred plant in northern Europe- found strewn on church floors and entryways on Saint’s days. Sweet Grass Hydrosol is reminiscent of the fresh plant, with it’s subtle honeyed-vanilla and herbaceous notes. 

Indigenous people in California have used the leaves of California Sagebrush for numerous medicinal treatments, including a poultice for tooth aches or wounds, or applied to the back to treat asthma; as a decoction taken for menstrual problems, to ease childbirth, and to ease menopausal symptoms. The sweet sage aroma blends beautifully with the Sweet Grass.

Uses

Mist onto freshly cleaned skin before moisturizer.  Balances PH of skin. Hydrosols can also be used throughout the day or before bed on face, body, and hair. We love to use Sweetgrass & Sage Hydrosol as a refreshing astringent toner as well as an 'aura' cleanser.  Great for when you need to cleanse yourself or surroundings.

*Our Sweet Grass is never wild harvested. We grow it in our warm green house.

A Note On Hydrosols...

Hydrosols are the condensate water co-produced during the distillation process of plant material. They are not distilled water with essential oils added, nor are they the same as herb teas & tinctures. Through the distillation process the volatile oils of the plant matter become a colloidal suspension, and contain all of the healing properties of the plant in every drop. Humans have been distilling plants for their essential oils and hydrosols for thousands of years. We distill our hydrosols and essential oils in a copper still to naturally preserve the anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties of our ingredients.
